Construction Challenge Goals

Our goals are for Construction Challenge participants to:
  • Understand the relationships between construction, infrastructure and quality of life.
  • Implement a solution to a transportation infrastructure challenge.
  • To understand the impact of water infrastructure issues on the quality of life.

Why participate in the Construction Challenge?

Participants will:
  • Gain experience with teamwork, creativity, problem solving, project management, budgeting, research and presentation skills.
  • Explore infrastructure policy and issues.
  • Learn about and experience transportation and water infrastructure careers.
  • Pave a pathway for higher education with possible scholarship and internship opportunities.
  • Experience real-world issues and help develop solutions.
  • Meet new people and build new friendships.
  • Compete at the largest trade show on the planet, CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2011, where more than 120,000 construction professionals gather from around the globe.
