Construction Challenge Teams are Forming Now

Register Now for Your Regional Rally

Construction Challenge is developing the workforce of the future.
At a Construction Challenge Rally, middle school and high school teams compete to solve three construction-related Challenges over the course of a single day.

Rallies are limited to 50 teams – Sign up NOW to guarantee a space.

Who

Construction Challenge participants are:

  • Middle school and high school students (or the equivalent in technical or vocational schools or home-schooled students).
  • NOT required to have specific skills to be successful.
  • Students interested in hands-on exposure to viable career opportunities.

What

Construction Challenge is a joint effort by The Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) and Destination ImagiNation (DI), who are working together to provide a real-world experience that will inspire youth to explore and pursue careers in the construction industry. Construction Challenge is:
  • Perfect for busy students – competition only requires 6-8 hours of work in advance.
  • For teams of 5 to 7 students plus an adult Team Manager (21 or older)
  • A fun and exciting competition where students can
    • Explore new careers.
    • Test their skills.
    • Meet AEM sponsor company representative

When and Where

On February 7, 2009, Regional Rallies will be held at 16 sites across the US and Canada. View a list of all our sites on our Rally Page. Each Regional Rally is limited to 50 teams.

Advancing teams will have the opportunity to spend a week at the Championship Finals in Knoxville, TN on May 19-23, 2009 and be sponsored by AEM companies.
